Who We Are

Rheta has been sewing her own cloths since she was 15. As her two daughters came along, she sewed for them until they didn’t want “Mom’s handmade clothes”. One of her first “sewing rooms” was a small closet that had just enough space to put her sewing cabinet. The first quilt she made was when her oldest daughter, Dara, was just a few months old. So here we are, 46 years later, and there is no way Rheta can estimate the number of quilts that she has made. About 2003 she got serious about learning different quilting techniques and started doing free motion quilting on her domestic machine. Then in 2013 she bought an Innova long arm quilting machine. Since then, she has been doing free motion custom long arm quilting and hasn’t looked back. Even though she has painted, crocheted, and done stained glass in the past, she says she feels like she has returned to her roots working with fabric and thread. She entered quilts in the Ellis County Quilt show in 2016 and won 2 ribbons. In 2018, she won 1st place with the Cedar Hill Quilt Guild Year End challenge.  With over 55 years of experience, Rheta adds a level of  professionalism and quality that shows in all her work.

Dara has been sewing with her Mom since she could sit on her mother’s lap at the sewing machine. Her primary art is photography, but she has also done counted cross stitch, and has been working on the custom long arm quilting machine off and on for 4 years. The love for sewing and quilting was instilled in her at a very young age.

We hope that our many years of working in the quilting field will be of service to you soon.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.  Happy Quilting!
